June 26, 2010 - For many years now, the New Jersey Buffalo Soldiers have chosen Barb's Harley-Davidson as the starting point for their annual Children's Ride For Life Event. This year, in observance of her continued support, the Buffalo Soldiers presented Barb with their colors, specially-framed, making her an honorary member of the Buffalo Soldiers New Jersey Chapter. |
June 10, 2010 - Barb and her staff threw a party for members of The Defenders M/C, in appreciation for their contributions of public service. The Defenders M/C is a fraternal motorcycle club for active and retired law enforcement, emergency services, military and public safety professionals. They currently have over thirty chapters throughout the United States. |
May 24, 2010 - Barb is sworn in as Honorary Commander at McGuire Air Force Base for the 305th Air Mobility Wing with Colonel Scott Smith, Air Mobility Wing Commander. Barb served as Honorary Commander for the 514th Air Mobility Wing for 2 years before being sworn in for the 305th. |

Thanks to everyone who signed the first flag at the parts counter. We sent this flag to the men and women of the 514th Air Mobility Wing out of Mcguire AFB. This was taken in the "war zone" in Afganistan and passed through Haiti. The men in this picture sent an email saying "thanks" and the flag after making its rounds will be proudly displayed at 514th hall of fame at McGuire AFB. |
November 26, 2009 - Thanksgiving dinner with 280 airmen and soldiers from McGuire AirForce Base and Fort Dix. Over 500 people showed up to welcome our military. Thanks to The Patriot Guard Riders, The Warriors Watch, Defenders, NAM Knights, Vietnam Vets and the Camden County H.O.G. motorcycle clubs. Everyone enjoyed a fantastic dinner, had a great time and went home with Harley-Davidson prizes, sports memoribilia and tickets to a Sixers game. Barb did Harley trivia and Vince Papale, Gary Maddox, Gary Cobb and Pervis Ellison presented sports trivia. A great time was had by all! |
November 15, 2009 – Barb’s Harley-Davidson hosted the live broadcast of “The Chiefs Corner” which airs on Crusin’ 92.1 FM. Special guests included Barb Borowiec, Colonel Kerr and Joe Vento from Geno’s Steaks. Chiefs Corner is a weekly program that focuses on local police, firefighter and military issues and discussion. |

Money raised from our annual military support ride to Fort Dix / McGuire AFB is split between the Burlington County Military Affairs Committee and the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation of Philadelphia. October 9-10, 2009 - Military dinners weekend. Barbs Harley-Davidson is a big supporter of the USO. The USO is a private non-profit organization whose mission is to support the troops by providing morale, welfare and recreation type services to our men and women in uniform. On this night, Barb presented a check to Colonel Kerr from the 514th Air Mobility Wing at McGuire Air Force Base. The funds were donated by the dealership to the airmen of the 514th and were 10% of a Saturday’s sales at our parts and Motorclothes departments. Barb serves as Colonel Kerr’s Honorary Commander.
Each year half of the money raised at the Armed Forces Freedom Ride is donated to the Philadelphia Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation. The MCLEF in the Philadelphia area helps fund scholarships for the children of military and law enforcement personnel who have given their lives while serving the citizens of the United States of America. Barb is pictured below with Medal of Honor recipients, First Lieutenant U.S Army, James A. Taylor and Staff Sergeant U.S. Army, Jon R. Cavaiani. Jon is a dear friend of Barbs H-D and is a guest of honor at the annual Armed Forces Freedom Ride, along with the Philadelphia Highway Patrol, who got all Medal of Honor recipients safely to the gala that night.

September 26, 2009 - Hero Thrill Show. Barb's continues to support the Hero Thrill Show. This show brings awareness to the community and supports families of fallen officers. The Philadelphia Drill Team put on a heart stopping show, as well as the bicycle team and canine unit. Thank you Philadelphia Police and police officers everywhere. June 27, 2009 – New Jersey Buffalo Soldiers M/C Annual Children’s Ride For Life. Barb’s H-D was the registration and starting point for this annual event. Hundreds of riders and supporters met at our dealership to participate in the ride to Millcreek Park in Willingboro, NJ. Proceeds benefited the UMDNJ / New Jersey University Hospital New Jersey / New Jersey Medical School Multiple Sclerosis Diagnosis & Treatment Center. A very impressive showing by Buffalo Soldier chapters from various states, police escort from the Willingboro Police Department and supporters from numerous motorcycle clubs made for a very successful fundraising event. Barb was, again, recognized and honored by the Buffalo Soldiers as being supportive of the club’s efforts, time and time again. Later that night, the benefit continued at an afterparty, held at the Chocolate City Silver Lake Ballroom at the Irish Pub in Clementon, NJ. Click photo to view more pictures. |
June 13, 2009 - 1st Annual Westampton FOP Lodge #147 Police Survivors Benefit & Motorcycle Run.Despite the weather a lot of motorcyclist showed up at Barb's to participate in the 1st Annual Motorcycle Run. The riders left Barb's and headed to the grand opening of Dublin Square Pub in Bordentown, NJ for some good food, DJ and entertainment for the whole family. May 17, 2009 - 3rd Annual Armed Forces Freedom Ride. Despite the rain falling in the morning, hundreds of motorcycles gathered here for our 3rd annual AFFR. Color Guards from McGuire AFB were here to present the colors. The national anthem was sung by SSgt. Jessica Sherman and then a blessing of the bikes. Camden County HOG did a great job of organizing all the riders to get everyone off safe and sound. Once we left the dealership on our way to McGuire/Ft. Dix not one drop of rain fell on us. This years Grand Marshals were Brian Thacker and H.C. "Barney" Barnum Jr. Both Medal of Honor recipients. We were led by the New Jersey State Police, along with Medford, Pennsauken and Willingboro and the Philadelphia Highway Patrol. Motorcyclist had all of Rt. 295 to themselves besides the spectators waiting at each exit waving to all the riders. One of the highlights of the day would be riding down the flight line at McGuire AFB. Ceremonies began at Doughboy Field in Ft. Dix. Everyone was treated to a great BBQ lunch and enjoyed music by Brynmawr. Ceremonies included speeches from the Honorable Jim Saxton, Col Ronald Thaxton and Col Gina Grosso read the citations of the Medal of Honor recipients who also got up to speech to the crowd. All monies raised will be split between the Burlington County Military Affairs and the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation of Philadelphia. A great day was had by all!! If you have never participated in this GREAT event, you wont want to miss it next year! Hosted by McFadden's Restaurant at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, the event paid tribute to members of the Patriot Guard Riders, who continuously show sincere respect for America's fallen heroes, their families and their communities. We, in turn, are honored to pay respect to the Patriot Guard Riders and to their selfless dedication. |

October 12, 2008 - Barb’s H-D joined forces with the Philadelphia Highway Patrol, members of Camden County H.O.G., the Green Knights of McGuire AFB, local Army representatives and local police and firefighters to pay tribute to Sergeant Patrick McDonald who was killed in the line of duty on September 23rd. In an awesome display of salutation, over 700 motorcyclists rode from Barb’s H-D to Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, Pa. to pay their respects to Sgt. McDonald and his family at his final resting place. Sgt. McDonald was an eight year veteran and member of the elite Philadelphia Highway Patrol unit. |
July 31, 2008 - 2nd Annual Armed Forces Freedom Ride Check Presentation. At an awesome BBQ dinner held at the Palmyra Cove Nature Park, a crowd of uniformed men and women from Fort Dix and McGuire Air Force bases attended the check presentation by Barb’s H-D to the Burlington County Military Affairs Committee and the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation of Philadelphia. Each received a check in the amount of $15,000 from the 2nd Annual Armed Forces Freedom Ride. Medal of Honor recipient, Brian Thacker and Fox 29’s, Don Tollefson gave heartfelt speeches to the attendees. |
June 27, 2008 – More bikes are presented to the Philadelphia Highway Patrol. Barb’s proudly presented another three FLHP Harleys to the Philadelphia Highway Patrol, as part of the Cops Wheels, Inc. program, started by Barb and Phila. attorney, Jimmy Binns in July of 2007. The program originally provided 25 donated bikes to the Phila. Highway Patrol. |
May 18, 2008 – 2nd Annual Armed Forces Freedom Ride. Wow! The 2nd Annual AFFR brought out nearly 1000 bikes and raised over $45,000 for the Burlington County Military Affairs Committee and the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation of Philadelphia. The 1,101 participants rode from Barb’s H-D to Fort Dix Military Base & McGuire Air Force Base in Burlington, NJ. Riders are given the opportunity of a lifetime, riding down a of a McGuire Air Force Base flight line! Afterwards, all participants are treated to lunch and great entertainment at Ft. Dix. February 8, 2008 – Soldiers visit Barb’s H-D. Burlington County Military Affairs Committee events coordinator (and Barb’s H-D friend), Russ Regn took soon-to-be-deployed military from Fort Dix on a “road trip” which included a stop at Barb’s H-D to check out the new bikes and gear. They loved it! |

October 6, 2007 – Barb receives plaque from U.S. Army. At our 20th Anniversary Celebration, Barb was awarded a plaque by the Blackwood Army Recruitment Station, commemorating twenty years of her service to the South Jersey Community and the U.S. Army. |
September 22, 2007 – Barb receives the Marine Corps Eagle Globe and Anchor Award. In a prestigious ceremony at the Liacouris Center in Phila., Barb was honored as the recipient of the award for her hard work and dedication to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, the Burlington County Military Affairs Committee and all who serve our country. |

July 4, 2007 – Bike Presentation to the Philadelphia Highway Patrol. At a ceremony in front of the Franklin Institute, Barb’s presented 25 New 2007 FLHP's to the Philadelphia Highway Patrol/Traffic Unit. A few years prior, Barb had noticed that the Phila. Highway Patrol was riding 1987-1989 Harleys and felt that “Philly’s Finest” needed to be on newer bikes. She and local Phila. attorney, Jimmy Binns, created “Cops Wheels, Inc.” which resulted in the donation of a new FLHP by Barb’s H-D and 24 more from local Phila. citizens and businesses. |
May 20, 2007 – First Annual Armed Forces Freedom Ride. Organized by Barb’s H-D, the AFFR is an annual, fund-raising ride that goes from the dealership to Fort Dix Military Base / McGuire Air Force Base in Burlington, NJ. The first annual ride raised over $20,000 which was split between the Burlington County Military Affairs Committee and the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation of Philadelphia. Over 750 people participated in the first annual AFFR. |
December, 2006 – Barb’s H-D became an official drop-off location of toy donations for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots Program. Now, every year from October thru December, Barb’s H-D collects hundreds of toys which are distributed by representatives of the U.S Marine Corps Reserve to needy children in the local community. |
