For speed and chrome this is the time… and our Service Department is the place.  All of our technicians are continuously trained through Harley-Davidson Motor Company and several other reputable motorcycle companies.
We do non-stop Dyno and Digital Technician training to better tune your bike.  Two of our ten technicians are Harley-Davidson “Master Technicians”.  Not just a saying…and not a saying that can be used by most.

Being a Master Technician means commitment and dedication to Harley-Davidson training. To become a Master Tech, a tech must work at least 5 years at an Authorized H-D Dealership, must travel to and complete all H-D Factory schooling and all H-D in-dealership training. This includes, service procedures, electrical diagnostics, engine management systems, air cooled power trained, V-Rod power trained, touring electronics, Screamin’ Eagle race tuner class, and Buell training. They also have over 100 in dealership PHD online training courses complete. Then and only then can a technician call himself “Master of Technology.”  We are proud to have Bill and Buddy on our team, both Masters of Technology and with 12 years of employment at Barb’s H-D.

Chris has worked at Barb’s H-D as a technician and “Master Custom Bike Builder” for 10 years. He started building custom bikes in 1990.  His skill goes above and beyond putting him in a class with famous names and faces in the custom industry. Chris is just a few classes away from being a “Master Technician.” He has completed all in dealership online training courses and has traveled to Harley University to learn engine diagnostics, twin-cam engines, and electronics. He has also attended Lehman school in South Dakota. Chris has extensive Dyno tuning and Digital Technician training.  From mild to wild Chris can customize any Harley or build from the ground up.

Harry has been with us for six years. He is about to become an “Expert Technician” after attending electrical diagnostic school in December. He has completed all in-dealership online training, graduated from York Technical Institute for Harley-Davidson, attended service maintenance school and has been trained in Digital Technician and Dyno tuning.

All technicians working at Barb’s must be MMI or AMI graduates, or have been employed at a dealership before coming to Barb’s. Our remaining techs are all factory trained, have completed online training and are attending Harley-Davidson University Technical schools.

The Harley-Davidson tool program means tools are sent to the dealership for new technology before they are offered to the public and nothing beats Digital Technician. It gives us the ability to accurately diagnose trouble codes and updates your bike’s ECM with the latest software upgrades.  Not only can Digital Tech. Help us pin point a problem it also allows us to send files of your motorcycle to the factory to aid us with diagnostics.   Digital Technician is a tool that is only available at Authorized Harley-Davidson Dealerships. We also offer H-D Factory Warranty and extended warranty.

Our Service Manager and Service Writers are all riders, they are in tune and understand your needs.  They will take the time to explain procedures and help you decide what’s right for your bike. We offer pick-up and delivery, winter storage in a warm and clean dealership.  A full wash and detail bay and are a preferred repair center for most major insurance companies. We also do NJ state inspections on motorcycles.
